Our first and original blend which has defined us for over a decade, Signature
Roast by Macchina Espresso is exactly just that, our signature. Designed for a
market over ten years ago that demanded a strong and punchy blend ideal for
hardcore coffee drinkers, Signature Roast has served us well over the years and
continues to delight our customers with something a little “old school” and
different to today’s market.

With a carefully thought-out mix of the finest Arabica and Robusta beans, this
full-bodied, intense and flavoursome blend will take you on a journey through
time. Picture a 5 am wake-up on a fresh Monday morning in 1980’s Darlinghurst,
or a warm spring afternoon in 1970’s Napoli. At Macchina Espresso Roasters we
believe our Signature Roast is as unique as we are and is sure to take you back
to a time and place when coffee was meant to be powerful, and life was a little
simpler.

Thick, creamy and consistent our Signature is roasted to a medium
profile, extracting the best qualities of each bean. A crema that holds up
perfectly with milk allows this blend to stand out and is considered by most of
our customers to be on the stronger side.

Ideal for milk-based coffees, as well as for a traditional Italian stove
top or served as a cold brew, Signature Roast has a distinct flavour profile
consisting of dark chocolates, dried stone fruits and a slightly nutty finish.
With notes of maple and honey, this roast is sweet yet acidic all in one.

Consistent in every extraction Signature Roast is a pleasure to work with for any barista
and has proven to us that classic “old school” still works, even in today’s
ever-changing world.  Simplicity and
consistency are the key after all.
